Award Amount $1,000 per student (20 scholarships total).
Each winner is eligible for only one award. Awards are intended for the student only; no provision is made for spouses or dependents. No substitution of the award is permitted. The check will be issued directly to the student by check.

Supporting Documents
  • Parent(s)/Guardian(s) 2024 Income Tax Return Form: Applicant must be listed as a dependent. If the applicant has their own tax return, that document can be submitted. The foundation will use the submitted Form 1040 to verify the AGI (Adjusted Gross Income) listed.
  • Transcript: Most recent unofficial/official transcript in PDF form. GED recipients must attach certification.
  • Essay: Must be submitted in PDF format. See details below.
Essay Please select ONE essay topic and write approximately 500 words in PDF format:

  1. Explain a personal hardship or catastrophic life event, how you overcame it, and what you learned.
  2. Describe areas in your life where you have demonstrated leadership and impact.
Requirements
  • Must be a citizen, national or legal permanent resident of the United States. Citizens of the Freely Associated States may apply.
  • Must be a current high school or current college student (1st year college, or 1st year trade school student needs to submit their class enrollment document).
  • Must have minimum unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or have earned a GED.
  • Must demonstrate financial need and qualify based on income restrictions and limitations.
  • Qualifying annual income limit. *Based on 2024 HUD low-income limits.
